Flower Bed Fun

I've been pretty busy this week in my yard.  My clematis looks the best this year,  and my columbine just started blooming.

Here's my sweet rocket.  I used to have a ton of it until some ground cover took over.  We hope to work that bed over soon.

The front flowerbed is finished, mulch and all--I finished it in morning, although I took this picture before I got the mulch down.

Next, here I am planting my many elephant ears.

Hubby dug it up for me, then helped me fill it in.

Ta-Daa!
I'm anxious to see how they do, because I usually plant them in big pots.

The next bed I dug early yesterday and planted six tall dahlias--these will have to be staked.
After hubby got home he helped me expand it a little.  I planted nicotiana---lime variety, and some small dahlias.

I might plant some annual baby's breath along the edge.

Guess who forgot about changing shoes.  Bad girl!
These are my workout shoes, so I had to wash them last night. I was surprised how quickly they dried.
I still have more planting to do, as you can see.
