Evelyn's Quilt

Number seven grandchild is Evelyn----

Another sweetie for sure.  She is Celeste's fourth child.
Evelyn enjoys her Barbie dolls and her brother's cars.  She can be shy at times and not so shy at other times.
Once she gets to know you she's fine, and can be quite a chatterbox.  She also likes to color on "things"--not always on things suppose to be colored on.  In the grouping above she is wearing her cousin Brittany's glasses, and really acted like a big girl--so cute.  Some of her little girl pictures look similar to my little girl pictures.

A little bit, don't you think?  I don't have the beautiful brown eyes though.  Mine are green.
Anyway--here is her baby quilt.

I love her name--Her other grandmother and I (unknown to each other) sang her name to her to the tune of  "Ramblin Rose" when she was a newborn.  Celeste was just amazed.  It's a shared generation thing, I think.  This picture doesn't show the real color so well.  So---

Here are the true colors.  I didn't put the name on until after she was born, because we didn't know if she would be a boy or girl.  That's why it's not a girly color, also.
I finished sewing the binding on at the Baby Shower at Erin's house.  Speaking of Erin, many of my pictures of the grandkids were her pictures.  She has a good camera and really enjoys snapping photos of the kids.
She's pretty good at it, too, obviously.

I took this picture about a year ago of her sitting on cousin Brit's lap.  Brittany loves babies, too.  Actually she and I fight over them. Just kidding....sort of.

Erin took this picture of Evie last summer--ain't she cute?
Go see Evie's quilt in use at my daughter's blog here.
