Blessings

We went to Silver Dollar City again with Tanner and Erin.  I was having a bad hair day-oh well.
We had a great time, and I was able to walk around, shop, eat, and watch shows.  We got there at eleven a.m. and left at eight p.m.   That was just wow for me.  I did take some pain pills.  I am amazed that I could handle it with my messed up back and all.  Thank you Lord!
What a blessing!
Here are a couple of my purchases.  I love these place mats.  I also bought the little vase that was crafted from a silver table knife and sugar spoon.  Soooo cute!

Holiday Fun

Well, I haven't posted in a while.
This pic is from our Christmas Eve Candlelight service.  Two of our kids and their families were with us.  I'm always glad to get a group shot.

We had Christmas at our daughter's home.  Twenty-five at a sit down dinner.  Had lots of fun.

Now, here it is New Years Day, and I have a stinking cold -ick!   NOT FUN!

A New Baby

I've got a new baby------grand, that is. I am sure enjoying it too.   In a couple of months I will get it tuned up, and a little other work done on it.  It has great sound.  (My tongue helps me play-ha-ha.)

On another note, we went to KC this past Saturday with some of our kids and grand kids to shop at Ikea---fun, fun, fun.

On the way home we got to see a beautiful sunset--God's handiwork.

Gorgeous!

WATER, WATER EVERY WHERE

We just returned from a trip to our daughter's home in Iowa.  Ton's of fun.
We went swimming, and the dog entertained us a lot.
The grand kids entertained us, and my hubby made a bunch of videos that I am enjoying now.
They are getting a new house with a pool--this one here.

The day we left we went with Jen and Cole to the Dr.  They had a nice salt water aquarium there, so I got a pic.  Our grand daughter, Brittany, and her fiancé, Cody love aquariums as do we.
We all went to a few aquarium shops with them while we were there.  We got some Java Moss for our aquarium.  It is on the rock stack.

When we got home we bought some more plants.  The shops we went to in Omaha were very inspiring.

Traveling Along

Just going down the road here.

I got a smart phone and wanted to see if I could blog from it.  I can, but it sure is a lot easier on my computer.  There is so much more I can do on it.  I tried using a blogger app, with my daughter's help, but we decided because it wouldn't work that the app needed updated for my fancy phone.

Wedding Day

On February 28, our baby got married.  All the pictures are out now, and every one is through posting on Facebook.  Now it's my turn.
Erin was a beautiful bride.

It had snowed all day, and it was a beautiful snow.  Erin was hoping for snow.

This was taken in the halls of the church.  So lovely.

We had a string quintet for the music; they did a very nice job.

Our oldest grand son, Cyle walked me down the aisle.  He is so handsome and tall.  I have to reach up to hug him,  but it's worth it.

Our two youngest grand daughters, Evelyn and Sophia were the flower girls. Sooo precious!
Tanner's nephew, Zeph, was the ring bearer--what a cutie!

DA-DA-TA-DA!!
Erin and her daddy surrounded by the best looking ushers ever--Cyle and Cole, our sweet grand sons.

The ceremony begins with her daddy and I giving her away.  Kind of sad, but we love who we gave her to--Tanner is the best.  Our other sons-in-law are always teasing me that he is the favorite son-in-law.  We love all our sons-in-law.  Each one is unique and special in our eyes.  I wouldn't trade one of them.  Next post will be about the Ceremony.

Rehearsal Dinner

The day before the wedding was a very busy day getting everything set up.  I caught a cold right in time for all of this--yuck!

For the rehearsal dinner Tanner's mom fixed a baked potato bar.  It sure was yummy.  Thank you Amy.

This was in a different room at the church.  They were so nice to let us use their building, of course there was a charge for that, but still they were very nice.

Here are some of Tanner's relatives.  See that little boy, he (Tanner's nephew) was the ring bearer.

Here's Erin with the flower girls (our granddaughters).  I think Tanner was still in line.
It was a very long day for me.  Picking up all the rental stuff and delivering it to the church for our grandson's and others to unload.  So many people worked to make this wedding great that I can't tell you who all did what.  I was doing good to be there.  Thank you to all you wonderful relatives and friends who helped make it so beautiful.  I am waiting for the pics from the photographer--my niece--of the beautiful wedding.

Wedding Preparation

Here are the succulents wrapped in gold lame which I found out is pronounced La-MAY.  Even my male Chiropractor knew how to pronounce it---What!!!??  He also made fun of me for pronouncing it lame (as in: "that is lame").  It's a good thing for him that I need his work.

Erin had to get me started on this project, and Tanner showed up.  Erin quickly put him to work, then I heard him mutter under his breath, "I shouldn't have come over here".  Ha-ha!  I quickly put hubby to work also.

The day of rehearsal everyone was put to work.  I didn't do much because of my back--I had to make a special trip to the chiropractor that morning.  I wish I could have helped more.
This here is our oldest daughter, Jen, and our grand daughter, Madison.  I was suppose to help with this project, but that would have killed my back.

Here is Erin fixing the aisle material to walk on.

The tables, 22 of them, looked very nice.  See the succulents?  I think they turned out very well.  That was my itty-bitty contribution, other than moola.

Erin's Shower

I'm trying to catch up on some of my blogging, can you tell?  Our oldest daughter, Jen, came to town and made this scrumptious cake for Erin's shower.  It was Lemon lavender, and it was yummy!

Erin's shower was on the 14th of February.  Before it started her fiancé, Tanner, came and sat on her lap to begin the fun.  Then all the guys and kids went to a movie.

Here is Tanner's aunt and mom with Erin.

Some other guests.

The presents--It was a lingerie shower.

Fun.

Food.

Fellowship.

Our middle daughter, Celeste, whose home it was at has been adding on to her home.
Her hubby, Jeff, is the builder of it all in his off hours, and I love her chandelier.

Grand Sons' Basket Ball Games

In January we made a trip to Iowa to watch our grandson's basketball games.  We stayed in a hotel so I could swim to help my back.  Here I am on the big comfy bed taking a selfie.

We watched 10 games.  Some were games our older grandson, Cyle, coached.
So proud of him.

The other games were our Grandson, Cole's games he played in.  He's #10 here.

It was hard to get a good pic of him because he was always on the move.  He's quite a go-geter.
He was the biggest scorer on his team.  The last game he scored about half of the points.  His team won all their games, and Cyle's team won all but one.  It was so much fun.
Our grand daughter, Britt, enjoyed the games, and she and I got tickled at one the refs who managed during a time out to put the ball through the hoop and catch it right in the face.  She has a sense of humor like me--Fun Times!!!

WEDDING FAVORS

Our youngest daughter is getting married in about a week, and we are working here on the wedding favors for the reception.  We received the succulent shipment yesterday when we were having a Craft Day at my house.  The plants had been in the cold temps for quite a while, and they were cold.  Naturally we're having a severe cold snap.
They were packed with packing peanuts, but my guest helped me unpack all the peanuts; two big sacks full.  The potting soil was all over the plants so we had to clean them up with paint brushes then water them.
175 of them all together; two boxes full.  I had dirt everywhere.

They cleaned up nicely, though.
Next we have to trim the little plant pots with gold lame fabric.  They're going to be very nice little favors.  In the meantime they need some bright light.

Christmas Dinner

We had a very merry Christmas!

We enjoyed Turkey and Dressing, Green beans, Cranberry sauce, (you like the nice carving I did on the Turkey Breast?)

Sweet Potato Soufflé, Mashed Potatoes, and Gravy,

Deviled Eggs, Rolls, Carrots and Celery,

Candy Cane Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, M&M Cookies,

Buckeyes, Chocolate Pie, Eggnog Pie, Pecan Pies, Pumpkin Pies, and Pretzel Candy.
We also enjoyed a dessert our future son-in-law made (not shown).  It was an Oreo-Peppermint Ice Cream-Hot Fudge dish.  Yum-O!
I think that was it.  Waddle-waddle, me-O-my-O!
We had a great time with our family and watched two movies afterward.

Hubby is taking down our out side lights now, because it's suppose to get cold tomorrow.
I think Christmas is over for this year.
